[KOMOJU] Display specification for partial captures
When a partial capture occurs on a payment, it is displayed as a single "partial capture" — not as "full capture + partial refund" — in the KOMOJU dashboard, reports, and the newer API version.
Scope of this specification
This specification applies to the following four areas:
- ① Transaction details screen
- ② Transactions list file
- ③ Settlement report file
- ④ API (display format differs by version)
① Transaction details screen
A payment with a partial capture is labeled as "Partially captured" — not "Partially refunded" — on the transaction details screen in the KOMOJU dashboard.
The transaction details screen shows the following two fields:
- Total authorized amount: the amount at the time of authorization
- Captured amount: the amount actually captured as a partial capture
Example: an authorization of 30,000 JPY followed by a partial capture of 25,000 JPY
② Transactions list file
The file you can download from the "Transactions" page in the KOMOJU dashboard includes a "Captured amount" field.
- Amount: shows the authorized amount.
- Captured amount: shows the partial capture amount.
The partial capture amount is not shown in the "Amount refunded cents" field. Please refer only to the "Captured amount" field for partial capture amounts.
Example: an authorization of 30,000 JPY followed by a partial capture of 25,000 JPY
③ Settlement report file
In the file you can download from "Settlements" > "Reports" in the KOMOJU dashboard, a transaction with a partial capture is shown as a single row, displaying only the captured sales amount.
④ API
If you use the KOMOJU API, the display format for partial captures differs depending on the API version.
| API version | Display format for partial captures |
|---|---|
| v2024-07-15 (support ended) | Displayed as "full capture + partial refund". |
| v2025-01-28 | The partial capture amount is displayed in the new "captures" field. |
