What is the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions
The Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is a law established to protect consumers by preventing illegal sales practices and malicious solicitation by sellers in sales methods that are prone to consumer issues, such as door-to-door sales and online sales.
When operating an online website, displaying 「特定商取引に関する法律に基づく表示」 is a mandatory requirement.

For sole proprietors using KOMOJU, the information for “販売事業者” and “代表者名” must be entered using the applicant’s own legal name.

Unacceptable Example
販売事業者：KOMOJU STORE
代表者名：YAMADA TARO
When using KOMOJU, both “販売事業者” and “代表者名” must be stated as the individual’s full legal name.
Romanized names, shop names, or last names only are not accepted.
(For merchants located in Japan, please ensure that the name is displayed accurately in kanji.)
We often see applications where a shop name is entered as the “販売事業者” or where the representative’s name is written in Roman letters, as shown in the unacceptable example above. Please revise the information to the individual’s legal name before submitting your application.
