[KOMOJU] How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Troubleshooting Guide
To enhance your account security, KOMOJU supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This page explains the step-by-step setup process and provides solutions if you are unable to log in.
1. How to Set Up 2FA
2FA must be manually enabled by the merchant from the KOMOJU dashboard. Please follow the steps below to set it up.
- Log in to the KOMOJU dashboard and click "Settings" on the left menu.
- Click "User details" within the Settings menu.
- Click the "Enable two-factor authentication" button displayed on the screen.
- Open an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or VIP Access) on your smartphone and scan the QR code on the screen.
- Enter the 6-digit authentication code (one-time token) displayed on the app into the KOMOJU setup screen to complete the integration.
2. Common Issues and Solutions
If You Do Not Receive the One-Time Token (Authentication Code)
If you are waiting to receive an email or SMS, please note that KOMOJU does not send authentication codes via messages. The 2FA code for KOMOJU is automatically generated within the authenticator app installed on your smartphone, even when you are offline without a network connection.
If You Are Asked for 2FA but Did Not Set It Up
KOMOJU never automatically forces 2FA due to system requirements or specific platform integrations (e.g., Wix). It must always be manually set up by the merchant using the steps above. If you do not remember setting it up, the main causes are typically the following two scenarios:
- Confusion with another system's screen: You might be confusing the login or 2FA screen of another service, like Shopify, with KOMOJU.
- Impact of account sharing: If multiple people share a single login email address, another team member may have enabled the setting from the KOMOJU dashboard.
Next Steps
If you cannot access the app due to changing or losing your smartphone, follow the instructions on the login screen and enter a "Backup code" saved during setup to log in. If you cannot contact the person who set it up, or if the backup codes are unknown and you cannot log in, please contact our support team for account recovery.
