When a payment expires, EC-CUBE is notified and the order automatically changes to "注文取消し" (Order Cancelled) status.
Which Payment Methods Can Expire
Expiration occurs for payment methods that involve a waiting period before payment is confirmed, such as convenience store payment and bank transfer.
What Happens on the EC-CUBE Side
- If the customer does not complete payment within the deadline, the payment expires on the KOMOJU side
- This information is passed to EC-CUBE, and the order status automatically changes to "注文取消し" (Order Cancelled)
- Since this happens automatically, merchants do not need to manually change the order status
A Note on Shipping Decisions (Shipping Before Payment Is Confirmed)
If you ship a product before payment is confirmed, the payment may later expire and the order status may change to "注文取消し" (Order Cancelled). For payment methods with a waiting period, we recommend confirming that the order status has changed to "入金済み" (Payment Confirmed) before shipping.
