This article explains the expiry date settings and steps to disable manually generated Payment Links. This does not apply to automated payments via Shopify integrations or APIs. With the new feature, links can now be automatically disabled based on "number of payments" or "expiration date". Manual disabling is also available.
Manually Disabling a Link (For Immediate Stop or Recreation Due to Errors)
If you need to stop a link immediately before it meets the automatic conditions, or if you need to recreate a link due to incorrect settings (such as the wrong amount), follow these steps to manually disable it:
- Click Payment Links on the left menu of the dashboard.
- Click on the specific link you want to disable.
- Click the section labeled "Disable payment link".
- On the confirmation screen, click "Yes, disable payment link", and then click "Save".
About Payment Session (Payment Procedure) Expiration
Separately from the link's own validity, once a customer accesses the link and selects a payment method, a specific payment deadline (session expiry) applies based on that payment method's specifications (e.g., PayPay expires within 5 minutes).
Next Action
After a link is disabled manually or automatically, return to the Payment Links list view on the left menu to confirm that the link status is displayed as "Inactive". If you need to recreate the link due to a mistake, generate a new one using the standard create button or the Quick Payment Link button on the same screen.
