Refunding from an E-commerce Platform's Admin Panel
On the following e-commerce platforms, refunds issued on the platform are reflected in KOMOJU. You do not need to process the refund again in the KOMOJU dashboard.
- Shopify
- WooCommerce
- EC-CUBE
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud
If you use any other e-commerce platform, please process refunds from the KOMOJU dashboard.
Refund Period
The period during which refunds are possible differs by payment method. Please check the following for specific deadlines.
Transaction Fees When You Issue a Refund
For transactions that have been completed and have the status "Captured", the transaction fee is still charged even if you process a refund later.
Refunds Require an Unsettled Balance
Refunds through the KOMOJU system are only possible within your unsettled balance (sales before the closing date). If the balance is less than the refund amount, the refund request will result in an error.
For this reason, if you plan to issue a large number of refunds or high-value refunds, we recommend checking your unsettled balance in advance.
Refunding Multiple Transactions at Once
If you need to refund multiple participants, for example because an event is cancelled, refunds in the KOMOJU dashboard are processed one transaction at a time.
If you use an API integration, you can automate refunds for multiple transactions by having your system send refund requests (Refund API) for each transaction in succession.
