Refund Timing

The timing of when a refund is reflected varies depending on the payment method. After the refund process is completed in KOMOJU, the refund will be issued to the customer through each respective payment provider.

How to Check Refund Status

Before informing the customer about the refund, please confirm in KOMOJU that the refund process has been completed.

  1. Open the “Transactions” page in the KOMOJU Admin Panel.
  2. Search for the relevant transaction and open the details page.
  3. Check the transaction status.
  4. If the status shows “Refunded” or “Partially Refunded,” the process has been completed.
  5. If an error has occurred, please note the “KOMOJU Order ID” and contact support.

Timing of Refund Reflection by Payment Method

For Credit Card Payments

Refunds are processed via the credit card provider. The refunded amount will appear as a negative entry on the card statement.

  • Estimated timing: On average, 5–10 days. Depending on the card issuer, it may take up to approximately two months.
  • If crossing the billing cycle closing date: The amount may first be charged, and then refunded or offset in a subsequent billing cycle.
  • If the card has been canceled: The refund will be issued via an alternative method defined by the card issuer, such as a bank transfer.

*The exact date when the refund is reflected depends on the card issuer’s processing schedule. *Please advise the customer to contact their card issuer directly for detailed information.

For Mobile Payments

Applicable services include PayPay, Merpay, Rakuten Pay, au PAY, and d Payment, etc. Once the refund process is completed, the amount will be directly reflected in the balance within each respective app.

  • Estimated timing: Usually reflected within a few hours.

*The actual timing depends on the specifications of each app provider.

For Convenience Store / Pay-easy / Bank Transfer Payments

The refund will be issued via bank transfer to the bank account designated by the customer.

  • Estimated timing: If requested during banking business days, the refund is typically completed within one business day.
  • Cases requiring additional time: Depending on the time of the request or holidays, it may take 1–2 business days.
  • Sender name: The transfer to the customer’s bank account will be made under the name "KOMOJU Co., Ltd."
