Parallel imports, second-hand goods, and works of art can be accepted. However, we may ask you to submit additional documents to confirm that the products are legal and genuine.
Handling and Required Documents by Product Type
Can I sell parallel imports (such as smartphones and brand-name goods)?
Yes, they can be accepted. During screening, we may ask you to submit documents that confirm the products are genuine. Applications from overseas corporations and parallel import businesses are also possible.
We will let you know which documents to submit, as needed during screening.
Can I sell second-hand or reused goods (such as used cameras and lenses)?
Yes, they can be accepted.
You must submit a secondhand dealer license (kobutsusho kyoka).
Can I sell Japanese swords or other bladed items?
If they are handled as works of art, we may be able to accept them. Even if another company has told you they cannot be accepted, KOMOJU screens each case individually, so please apply.
We will ask you to submit documents such as a firearms and swords registration certificate as needed during screening.
Are any documents required to sell cosmetics?
If your business activities require your company to hold its own cosmetics manufacturing and marketing license, please provide documentation confirming that license.
Are any documents required for CBD supplements, cosmetics, or beauty goods?
We will let you know which documents to submit, as needed during screening.
Why We Ask for Additional Documents
Based on the standards of card brands and payment providers, we need to confirm that the products you sell are legal. Preparing the documents in advance can shorten the screening period.
