【KOMOJU】Can I use KOMOJU to accept payments for telephone orders?
This article is for businesses that want to accept orders by telephone and process payments using only the customer's telephone number, name, and address. KOMOJU does not support payments for telephone orders, even if the customer has an email address.
I can only collect a telephone number, name, and address. Can I accept payments for telephone orders without an email address?
Telephone orders are not supported by KOMOJU. All communications to customers are sent by email, so a telephone number, name, and address cannot replace email contact. We cannot recommend KOMOJU as a way to accept telephone orders without email when the customer does not have or cannot use an email address, or when the business cannot obtain it.
Can I use bank transfer if I read the bank account details to the customer over the telephone?
Choosing bank transfer does not change the fact that telephone orders are not supported. The ability to view or display bank account details does not mean that telephone orders can be accepted without a customer's email address. We cannot recommend reading bank account details over the telephone as a workaround for using KOMOJU for telephone orders.
Can I use convenience store payments if I read the payment number to the customer over the telephone?
Choosing convenience store payments does not change the fact that telephone orders are not supported. We cannot recommend reading payment numbers over the telephone as a workaround for accepting telephone orders without using the customer's email address.
Can I collect card details over the telephone and enter them on the customer's behalf?
We cannot recommend collecting card details over the telephone and entering them on the customer's behalf as a supported KOMOJU telephone-order payment method. The existence of an API for submitting card details or documentation about PCI DSS compliance does not establish support for telephone orders. We do not provide payment procedures based on collecting card details over the telephone and entering them on the customer's behalf.
Can an API integration support telephone orders without email?
Using an API integration does not change the fact that telephone orders are not supported. API input fields and features for displaying payment instructions are technical specifications for implementing supported payment flows. The ability to retrieve, display, or submit information through an API does not establish that telephone orders without email are supported.
The customer has an email address but has not received the payment instructions email
If the customer can use an email address but has not received an email, investigate it as an email-delivery issue. If payment instructions for an existing payment have not arrived, see the related article below. Resending an email or checking email settings is not a way to accept telephone orders from customers who cannot use an email address.
